July 2005 - At the annual conference of the National Association of Patent Practitioners, Michael Shimokaji spoke on "Drafting Patent Applications to Avoid Litigation Traps”.

July 2005 – Kirk Hermann gave a multimedia presentation on “Nanotechnology’s Impact on Information Systems” at the World Future Society’s Symposium on Nanotechnology in Chicago.

July 2004 - An MCLE seminar on "Freedom to Use Web Content" was presented by Michael Shimokaji to the Santa Barbara County Bar Association.

March 2004 - At the Annual CLE Expo sponsored by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association in Chicago, Mr. Shimokaji will speak on Managing Electronic Discovery.

December 2003 - Michael Shimokaji was re-appointed to serve on the Steering Committee for the California Minority Council Program, a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote opportunities for attorneys of color.
