Question: Is it trademark infringement if for ex: a company is called blackkettle barbque an the other is called blackkettle restaurant

they are both registered with the state they are in

Answer: Whether there is trademark infringement depends on a number of factors that include matters beyond just the name and business.

It seems possible that the below names might likely be in conflict since they could both relate to food service.
