Patent Protection in Foreign Countries

Question: Will the patent filed in the US honored in other countries? Question Detail: If I file for patent in the US, do I have to file one in other countries too? Will other countries honor the one I have filed here?

Answer: Patent protection is generally granted on a country by country basis. Therefore, a US patent is not honored in other countries.
