What Features Can Go Into One Patent

Question: I plan to introduce a product that has versions with a specific feature and some basic versions without. I also want to put in a unique feature or two and not use that so I can protect my invention without companies making a twist and stealing it. Can that be covered within one single patent? Would I be allowed to make a version without a specific feature? Can all that be covered by one PPA?

Answer: You can include any number of features in a single patent application, if the features relate to one invention. You can also make a product with or without the features in your patent. But it is usually best that your patent cover the product you sell.
